Peer Researcher
Jill Aalhus is a Peer Navigator with the Canadian Mental Health Association. She enjoys having the opportunity to draw on her personal experiences with mental health issues to build supportive relationships with peers. Her past experiences include co-facilitating workshops on the psychological sense of community, researching the impact of trauma on youth in conflict with the law, and assisting with program outreach at the UBC Sexual Assault Support Centre. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and is particularly interested in mental health reform, social justice, community development, and issues related to gender and sexuality. On her free time, Jill can be found on a trapeze off the side of a sailboat.
