Research Assistant
Mallory is a third year Therapeutic Recreation student at Douglas College. Mallory currently works in the TR department at Nicola Lodge a residential care facility working with older adults. Mallory completed her practicum at BC Women’s Heartwood Centre for women living with addiction issues. This practicum sparked her interest in working with individuals living with mental health and addiction issues in the community. In addition to her TR experience, Mallory holds a Psychology degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. In the future she would like to use TR to promote inclusion and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness. In her spare time Mallory enjoys outdoor adventures, going to the movies, attempting water and snow sports, finding hidden gem restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
